Tastes and looked great. Very happy. Recipients

Very complex and challenging instructions. I’d prefer to purchase one from Sara Lee but it was great to try making one myself. Thank you Black Box for another great product to try.

Looks and tastes great but a bit on the complicated side and took quite a long time with the chilling times etc

Way to many steps for a packet mix – I’d much prefer to make it from scratch. Tasted ok – just don’t think it was worth the effort from a packet.
Melinda Jenkin –
Although a bit time consuming this tastes amazing
Chad Emerson –
The finished product was pretty tasty, but it was quite challenging to make and very fiddly – as you would expect danish to be. Would still give it one more go though, but it was quite complex for packet mix.
Stephanie –
While the finished product was delicious, this was super complicated and time consuming for a packet mix. It pretty much took me all day to make and I was confused about some of the steps. I had to double the amount of butter to achieve the pea like consistency stated on the box and cook the danish a lot longer, and still it was undercooked. If you’re a patient and seasoned baker, then this product is for you. If you are after a quick packet mix, don’t choose this one!

What a great what to bring the bakery to your house.
Definitely is alot of steps and is very time consuming but we’ll worth it for the end result.
Lizzy T –
Definitely not a mix if you’re new to baking, or if you are time/patience poor. Having said that though, as long as you do have the time, and follow each step, the finished product is incredible, and the taste is not that of a packet mix.
Linda Tighe –
Great for if you want to make something a bit special, without having to make each separate element like the custard and berries from scratch.
Still a lot of work involved, which is to be expected. It’s a Danish, not a basic butter cake.
Definitely not for beginners, requires more than a basic skill level in baking,

Too many steps for a packet mix, I don’t see the point. The whole point of packet mixes are to save time, and this doesn’t do that.

The mixed berry and custard danish was delicious. I missed a step (freezing) and it still turned out perfect.
