I was really excited to try this product as I LOVE danishes. Unfortunately it didn’t live up to the hype. It took three days to make due to all the resting times between steps, and the final product was sort of underwhelming. It didn’t turn out like a danish – I expected it to be light and ever-so-slightly crispy, but it wasn’t. The dough was pretty flavourless and dense, despite me following the recipe super closely.
I wouldn’t buy this product, or recommend it to anyone. Instead I’d just make a basic yeast sweet dough, and put some homemade custard and jam on top if I needed a sweet treat.
